Combi Kobuk Booster Car Seat in Grey

Customer Review: This seat is acceptable, but Compass is better
I bought this seat a year ago along with a Compass Deluxe for our two cars.

Pros:
- lower price than Compass
- stylish lines
- removable back makes it easier for traveling (assuming your child is tall enough to use the backless mode)

Cons:
- after one year, the seams on the seat are starting to come apart
- cup holder sticks out at an awkward angle and is not easily removable

Overall, I would recommend the Compass over this one if it’s your only booster seat. But if you need a second, cheaper one, this one is OK.
Customer Review: Happy With this Seat
We had tried a different booster seat (something decent from Target), which my son did not like and refused to sit in. He is pretyy picky, but he really likes this one.

Pro’s:The most important consideration for me when buying was that the seat be rated for side impact (this one is). It is also comfortable and well padded, (we have a recaro for the other car, which is great, but has little seat padding and hurts his butt). The design is cool, which helps getting a toddler to actually sit in it. It is very adjustable (height wise) and well ventilated (we live in Texas so that is pretty important). It is very lightweight if you need to transport it.

Con’s: since it tilts back, it does not lock, so you cannot carry it one-handed from the back like many other seats. Also, my son is not too wide, and if he wiggles the belt can slip off his shoulder. We generally pull the seatbelt out (slowly) to get it to lock, then let it slide back, so that he is not able to pull on it, and we rarely have any trouble with the belt sliding off his shoulder - that would be a very important consideration, since it means that the seat is working or not! This is also the reason I gave it 4 stars. (We pull the seatbelt out on both booster seats, since reading about the locking mechanism failing - a car related thing - and kids dying because the belt did not lock! Good to know) Buy Car Seat Combi Now!

Customer Review: So far so good…
I was really reluctant to get this seat because of previous reviews, which is why I’m adding my own… I got this seat this weekend at my baby shower - my baby is not due until next month, so I don’t know how I will like it with a baby. BUT without a baby, the seat is NOT heavier than any other infant car seat. I drive a Saab 900 convertible, which is pretty tiny in the backseat. I did have to push the passenger’s side front seat all the way up in order to fit the car seat in. Since I rarely have passengers, this isn’t really a big problem - and there’s still enough room for a passenger as long as they are not really tall! The base and seat were really easy to install, and I love the level adjuster. Since my seats go down in the back, most other infant seats don’t fit very well, but this one did because I could adjust the level on the base. As far as removing the seat from the base, it took both my husband and I several tries to learn how to do it, but now we can do it very easily. In fact, I think it is easier than some other car seats I have tried to remove from their base. So, I think that takes care of the things that worried me about this seat. I love how big it is, how cushioned the inside is, how it looks, and how well made it obviously is. My suggestion for others is to go ahead and get this seat - if it doesn’t fit in your car you can always return it, but if it does fit I think you will not regret it!
Customer Review: Ok but won’t reccomend.
I purchased this car seat in crimson before my little girl arrived. It fit fine in our Suv but a bit snug in the sedan, we did have to push the front seat up a bit. The seat cover has a few pulls on it from my little ones velcro shoes, but you can buy a replacement cover. Also it is a pain to take off to wash. Overall it has been pretty good. It works great with the ultra savvy stroller as a travel system. One last problem my daughter did outgrow it by the time she was 7 mo. old. Buy Car Seat Combi Now!

  • Adjustable handle and small, sculpted, height-adjustable base
  • LATCH equipped with LATCH storage area in base

Customer Review: The best car seat we could find
When my wife and I were shopping for car seats this past Spring (2007), our approach was to find the best rear-facing infant car seat regardless of price (high or low). We live in Atlanta where public transportation is almost never a realistic or safe option and thus everyone has to drive everywhere (especially on the weekends!). So we knew we needed a quality car seat that could stand up to daily use.

In our search, we looked at all of the major brands. Nothing really impressed us until we found the Combi Connection. The quality is really unmistakable–a solid handle, amazingly soft Eggshock foam (I don’t think the new Connections have the Eggshock foam, which, if true, is a huge misjudgment on Combi’s part), EPS foam, a quality pad cover made from expensive cloth, and a fantastic canopy. The Connection was also very easy to install using the LATCH system. The Combi Connection stroller is also great–we use it everyday and have been very happy with it. Some have criticized the Connection for not having notches to place the seat in the top half of a shopping cart. This is actually a safety feature–the American Academy of Pediatrics and Consumer Reports both recommend that parents not attach infant car seats to shopping carts in this manner.

When I start shopping for my son’s convertible car seat, I will again not let price be a consideration (high or low). I now know that a car seat is all about installation. No matter how nice it is, if it is difficult to install properly, your child is not safe. Right now, I’m focused on the Britax Marathon and the Graco Comfortsport.
Customer Review: Excellent car seat
I got this infant car seat for my first daughter who was 8 lbs and 19 inches at birth. It was really too big for her and I had to use the infant positioning support and the additional GoldBug 2 in 1 infant head support when we took her home from the hospital. Our car was latch compatible so installation was easy. She grew quickly and we eventually bought a Britax Decathalon (the best convertible ever!) and I loaned it to my friend who had twins. She already had a Graco Snugride from her first child. Anyways, I noticed a lot of differences between the two carseats:

Pros:
Very well padded and washable cover. There was an extreme difference between the Snugride and the Connection padding and overall quality.

Security straps are well-constructed and didn’t twist at all.

Seat is deep and narrow, which is good for small infants and somehow seems safer.

Installation of the base using LATCH in the bucket seats in the outboard (as opposed to the center) position was super easy and very secure. My husband and my friend’s husband struggled with the Snugride base which didn’t fit well except in the center position of the backseat. It kept tipping up and seemed loose. I think it was because of the bucket seats since they didn’t have that problem with the first child and it was the same car (Acura TL).

Putting the carrier in the base and removing it was super easy.

Carrier has shorter handle which is a plus for shorter parents.

Cons:

Connection doesn’t fit in the shopping cart upper area.

It’s a bit expensive.

If you have the Combi Savvy Soho stroller, it was often difficult to tell if you snapped on the carrier since it would “snap on” and the carrier would indicate it was locked, but then one side wasn’t attached. We usually would lift up on the carrier handle to check and then really push down hard to get it locked on.

The canopy is a bit small and doesn’t provide enough sun protection in the stroller…it was also confusing to remove it to get the seat cover off.

All in all, I loved this car seat and felt it was safe and good enough for my friend’s babies. She also informed me that she uses it a lot and puts the smaller twin in it since it was deeper. Buy Car Seat Combi Now!

Customer Review: It gets the job done
I bought this carseat b/c it was the only one that went with a double stroller that was side by side.

PROS: Very safe. My daughter never has had any issues being in the seat itself. The base is very easy to install, much easier than the last car seat I had. And it’s fairly easy getting the car seat out of the actual base. Fits fairly well on the stroller, and I never had a problem with the seat canapy and stroller canapy “connecting” to cover up my baby. It’s cute and love the fact that I could put the baby’s car seat next to my toddler while going shopping or heading out for a walk. The fabric is very durable and I haven’t had any issues with it.

CONS: It’s very heavy. Heavier than the last car seat I had with my other daughter. It doesn’t fit well in shopping carts at the store. Big problem when you have an infant and you need to get to the grocery store. Looking back, I probably would have just put her in a carrier on me, instead of leaving her in the car seat. Also, my baby was 5 weeks premature and weighed about 5 1/2 pounds when we left the hospital. I swear she looked like she had already outgrown it.
It only has 2 options to change the straps, and by 4 months old, we were on the second level. I do wish they gave you another option since your child has to be in it for at least a year.
Would I buy it again? For the convience of having it with the double stroller, yes. For just the car? Naw! I think there are better ones out there that give you more options. And probably cheaper too!
    Customer Review: Great Car Seat
    Pros- Cute
    Semi-light weight
    Extra insert
    Compatible with Combi Stroller
    Washable and breathable material
Cons- Not compatible with shopping carts
Shade not as thick or u/v resistant.

I purchased this for my second daughter as it was compatible with the twin savvy stroller (as well as being pink in color). I was pleased that as a newborn, her head did not flop down as we turned the vehicle as it did with the snugride. The car seat is easy to clean, as well as easy to pick up. Buy Car Seat Combi Now!

Combi Connection Infant Car Seat Night Rider

    Customer Review: love it
We have this seat and love it. I don’t know what is going on with the previous reviewers complaining about outgrowing it, we have an average 50th percentile baby, and she will easily fit in this seat until she is sitting up on her own, at which point we’ll move her to a Britax and sit her directly in the stroller. I think a little common sense goes a long way, remove the extra padding once your infant is too big for it, don’t try to put your 6 month old in the seat wearing a snowsuit, and if your baby is extra tall for their age then yeah, they are going to outgrow it sooner. I had a Graco seat with my first daughter 3 years ago and she outgrew the thing at 4 months old, she was really tall and that seat had a low height max, but I know that was not Graco’s fault, all they can do is build to averages and accommodate the majority, every child will not fit in an infant seat until their first birthday!
Customer Review: Not good for big babies
Overal the car seat is nice, light weight but I agree with other buyers that it is too small for some babies. I used mine only for 3 months, because I have a tall baby and his feet were outside the car seat. I was a pretty big investment for only 3 months of use, not to mention that I have purchased the stroler frame too.Combi Connection LX Infant Car Seat Black Buy Car Seat Combi Now!
