I bought this for my little man for christmas. He just stares at it but my 3 year old loves it and carries it all over the place. She is actually the one that told me how to turn it off, haha. My dd had the vtech for her crib that she adored but it was VERY girly- so when ds was born I set out to find him something. Both of the Fisher Pric rainforest were HORRIBLE, numerous exchanges made me realize they weren’t for us. This had good reviews but I was leary because we tried the original one for daughter and it was lousy. But I was desperate so I ordered this on line…. LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Son loves it, the light isn’t too bright like with rainforest one, it is very soothing I wouldn’t mind one:) It plays longer than any other I researched- and plays that long with lights, bubbles, music and motion not just music like others. Buy it you will be pleased.
Customer Review: Kids still use and love it!
We call this our “fishies”. I bought a 1996 version and later bought a 2001 version. The remote control with the current version is a GREAT idea! The music did not last long enough on the 1996 version. The music is a good length on the 2001 version, but my kids still push the button over and over each night. My kids are now 7 and 12 and still listen to this every night. When we travel to Grandma’s house for an overnight stay, the “fishies” go with us! My 12-year-old is planning to move to her own bedroom soon and I wonder if she’ll be able to move without the “fishies”. Only criticisms: the cost and uses lots of batteries. It seems a bit too expensive to me, although it’s obviously durable and has been worth it’s weight in gold! Uses D batteries that need to be replaced fairly often. We always keep spares so there’s no “fishy” emergency at bedtime. When the batteries start running down, my 7-year-old says the batteries need to be changes because it sounds “creepy”. Customer Review: a GOD-send!!!
I am so glad I decided on this sling. I tried 2 others: the INfantino Sling rider (Which only satisfied my newborn for a week) and the HotSling, too stiff and no adjustable straps. I ordered this solely based on the picture and that it’s endorsed by Dr. Sears. I got lucky - this sling has been a GOD SEND! IT’s my baby’s favorite way to sleep. She was very colic-y from the beginning and this was the only way to calm her down and get her to sleep. We would swaddle her and get her in. We’d even lay her down after falling asleep safely in the sling still into her crib. It’s been perfect! I’m still using it with her at 7 mos. True, if you have back problems, it’s prob not going to be a positive experience for you. Also, baby may not take to the sling right at first, but keep trying it and she’ll eventually cozy into it. Take this sling shopping with you, to church, to friends, restaurants - it’s perfect for nestling baby so she feels safe. And you can try other positions and styles of wearing it as your baby grows. I rec. getting Dr. Sear’s Baby Book as a companion to show different baby-wearing methods that work with this sling.

I LOVE this product!! I was hesitant about using it at first…I was afraid that the baby would not be secure, but it has become a life saver. It’s so nice to be able to have my baby so close and still have both hands free (i’m actually typing this with my son in the sling). As soon as I put him in, he immediately falls asleep…he’s so comfy and cozy. PERFECT for a colicy baby. And the straps are so wide and padded that it’s comfortable for me too.
My only complaint ( the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5) is that I’m only 5′2″ and the sling hangs a bit low on me, more at waist level than chest level. The only other problem I had was that my son was only 5lbs8oz when born, so he kind of got lost in the bottom of the sling, I needed to place folded blankets in the bottom before I put him in. But now he’s about 7 lbs and it is perfect.

Customer Review: It’s not terrible.
The folding/travel feature is theoretically nice, but the seat is SO STINKING HEAVY that it’s really no easier to carry than our (lighter) Britax we have in the other car. Chest clip and straps are exceptionally easy to use and not at all prone to tangling. Quite easy to install. And we didn’t have the problem the PP mentioned, never had to call customer service fortunately. So it seems like a perfectly OK car seat, but the main reason we bought it was travel and it really doesn’t have a particular advantage in that regard. We’ll probably buy a “CARES” system and check our other carseat in the belly of the plane!

Seat cover keeps falling off to the left. This caused the styrofoam to chip off. The company (Sunshine Kids) refuses to send another one even though it’s only been 3 months since purchase and I have a receipt. They keep saying it’s amazon’s responsibility.
